Группа образовалась в 2000 году. Все началось с объединения гитариста Krisztian, басиста Laci и драммера Tamasа. Первоначально группа называлась Joy’s Pride. Далее к группе присоединился Adam Fellegi, который был участником группы Newborn. В таком составе группа просуществовала почти два года, пока Newborn не прекратили свое существование и в Joy’s Pride не пришел Zoli - бывший вокалист Newborn. 18 ноября 2002 года Joy’s Pride представляет свое первое шоу на разогреве у Bane. В течении последующих 5 месяцев группа меняет свое название на Bridge To Solace и в 2003 выпускает свой первый релиз "Of Bitterness And Hope". В сентябре 2003 Bridge To Solace отправляются в свой первый европейский тур с Paint The Town Red из Германии и Razor Crusade из Голандии. После этого у Bridge To Solace был тур по Европе с Walls Of Jericho. В 2004 группа должна была выпустить сплит совместно с California hardcore heroes A.18. Но этого не произошло из за проблем, возникших у A.18. Имея материал, группа выпускает Ер "Kingdom Of The Dead", а так же впервые выступает на Sziget. В Апреле 2005 группа едет в 4-х недельный тур с Undying. После тура из группы уходит гитарист Krisztian Alberti и на его место приходит Balint Szollar. Далее Bridge To Solace подписываются на GSR Music. В 2006 группа выпускает свой третий релиз "Where Nightmares And Dreams Unite".

BRIDGE TO SOLACE - ‘Of Bitterness And Hope’ CD (Let it Burn Records www.letitburnrecords.com ) BTS are born from the Ashes of Budapest hardcore band NEWBORN. ‘Of Bitterness and Hope’ is the bands debut full lengther on German Label Let It Burn Records. This is 9 tracks of high speed metal influenced hardcore ; Iron Maiden style riffs, in yer face punk, straight forward hardcore creating a very modern sound. Vocally very Jekyll and Hyde. One minute screams and growls next you’ve got harmonies balancing both perfectly. Lyrically very political but also very personal ( ala Newborn Crimethinc era ). I just love the guitar solo’s giving the album a nice technical touch. To some people may think this is one big 30 minute song due the the speed and ferociousness of the album but the band solve that with spoken word breaks thanks to Greg Bennick ala Trial vocalist. Song 9 ‘Hail to Gothenburg’ was my favourite which is homage to Swedish Metal with it’s mix of death/black Metal riffs. Nice debut, it’s a grower! Fans of Avenged Sevenfold, Death Before Disco, Walls Of Jericho check this out.
