Сформированные из пепла банды Heretic Алекс Батлер (гитара / вокал), Фил Гринвуд (гитара) и Дэйв Формовые (ударные)) и с новым членом Алан Уэбб (бас). Ancient Ascendant провел 2005-2007 в создании материала. Дебютный EP 'The Heathen Throne' уже было запланирован, а затем отложен несколько раз. В 2008 году вновь удвоив усилия парни наконец записали первый трэк promo cd 'The Path to Heaven'. Этот предварительный EP встретил весьма положительные отклики среди фанов и критиков. Этот дебютный EP был выпущен в декабре 2008 года. //Darksage Copyright Metalic Lady © 2009 ************************* ********************* Ancient Ascendant formed in 2005 in Reading UK, a group of like-minded metal musicians set out to create interesting, clear and progressive death metal to headbang to! Formed out of the ashes of previous band Heretic (Alex Butler (Guitar/Vocals), Phil Greenwood (Guitar) and Dave Moulding (Drums)) and with new member Alan Webb (Bass). 2005-2008 Ancient Ascendant spent 2005-2007 writing, gigging and getting drunk. The debut EP 'The Heathen Throne' was planned, then delayed numerous times. In 2008, re-doubling efforts and members becoming much more dedicated to the band, the 1-track promo cd 'The Path to Heaven' was recorded. This preview of the EP met very positive feedback among our fledgling fanbase and critics. Sadly Phil decided he could not fully commit to the, now much more time consuming, band machine. 2008 Recruiting Nariman Poushin filled the void left by Phil and added his expert soloing to Ancient Ascendant's sound. August saw 'The Heathen Throne' EP finally recorded, 6 tracks including songs written before Ancient Ascendant had even formed. This début EP was released in December 2008.
