Act Of Worship was formed in the year 2005 by Björn Schimmelpfennig (guitar) & Christoph Abels (drums). Only a few months later, the demo "Der Achte Kreuzzug" containing the band's first songs, was recorded. With the same line-up, Act Of Worship went on to write new songs and recorded its second demo entitled "Invasion" in February 2007. Both demos still contained german lyrics, but were not released, as both developed their style rapidly, investing more time to expand their musical abilities, and to create material which pleased them even more. Additionally they changed to english lyrics. The style of the music became more sophisticated, with the growing influence of blackmetal and classical elements. In 2008, the band's line-up was completed with guitarist Eduardo Vizzaro and permanent vocalist Daniel Görlich. At present, the band is working on their full length album "Black Legions".
